PBL Engaging Students

Why Project Based Learning?
PBL makes school more like our modern world, aspiring to cultivate independent workers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners. From growing a garden to designing and marketing an instrument, learners can't wait to engage in authentic activities. Collaborating to create and present their product, students employ critical thinking, technology, and other essential Next Generation skills while mastering curriculum standards.

What is Project Lead the Way?

Project Lead the Way
Penrose Elementary is excited to announce that starting in August 2017, we will be a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) school. PLTW is a nonprofit organization that provides a transformative learning experience for K-12 students and teachers across the U.S. We create an engaging environment and empower students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in an evolving world.
We set expectations high. We inspire students to believe in their abilities, test their limits, and question what is possible.
